Jamie “JD” Dyer (Lead Guitarist)
Jamison “Jamie” Dyer was born September 22, 1976 in Berrien Springs, MI. He was introduced to music at a very young age since everyone in his family either plays, played, or sang. His first musical experience was when he joined a choir at the age 7. After a little over a year he moved on to the trumpet and the tuba in band. It was when he turned 19 that his interest and love for the guitar began to grow. While at a friend’s house he experienced first hand the “sweet noise” of effects and riffs, and knew he had to get a piece of that action.
Jamie has been in various bands as a guitarist, including Silix, Envy, Echoes of Zero, Colassis Omem, and Never October. Currently, he is lending his skills to Arson Radio, and Pure Star Movement. He enjoys playing rock, metal, blues, and funk.
Loving to be in the spotlight and creating sweet noise of his own, Jamie has also spent time behind the scenes doing recording engineering as well as music production. He has collaborated with various groups ranging from metal to hip hop. It was the end of 2010 that Jamie saw Pure Star Movement (PSM) for the first time, at a local New Year’s Eve program, and really liked what he heard. Noticing that they did not have a guitarist, while conversing with the band members he asked if they were looking. Shortly there after he auditioned for PSM, and the rest is musical history.
“I think my role in PSM is to bring my hard rock influences to the project, and to add edge to the beauty of the music. As we continue to grow as a group my influence will be even more apparent. I love performing and meeting new people, especially those who are into this movement. And we plan to push this music out to as many people as we can because the world needs to be a part of this experience. I have been blessed over the years to play with some very talented people, but the musicians of Pure Star Movement take it to another level”. ~JD
